One person was shot and six detained while allegedly mugging people by impersonating members of the police’s Detective Branch in the city’s Uttara.
The incident took place on Monday (Oct 22), a little after 12 am when Uttara west zone DB police shot the miscreants and detained them.
The injured, 35-year old Shamim, who had been shot in the knees was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment.
A case was filed against the seven miscreants, said Mofazzal Hossain, a Sub-Inspector of Uttora West police station.
