Writ filed seeking cancellation of 39th BCS MCQ exam

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking its order on the government to cancel the multiple choice question (MCQ) examination and stay the process of viva voce of 39th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS).
Twenty-two candidates, who failed in the MCQ test of the 39th BCS (special) held on Aug 3 this year, filed the petition citing “seven mistakes in the MCQ question paper”.
“As per the relevant rules, only one correct answer among all the four answer choices for a single question has to be mentioned in the question paper, which was not dully followed” petitioners’ counsel Advocate Md Eunus Ali Akond told Bangla Tribune.
“Secretary of the health ministry, Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) and Comptroller (cadre) of BPSC were made defendants in the writ,” he said
According to Akond, The HC may hear the petition on Oct 7.
