The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned eight officials of Titas Gas, including Managing Director Mir Mashiur Rahman, on allegations of embezzling funds and acquiring assets beyond known income sources.
ACC Deputy Director (public relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said that the notice signed by ACC investigation officer and Deputy Director Farid Ahmed Patwari has been sent to the Petrobangla chief asking the officials to appear before the commission on Oct 1 and 2.
Titas Managing Director Rahman, Deputy General Manager SM Abdul Wadud and In-charge (Manager) of Gazipur Sabber Ahmed Chowdhury have been asked to appear at the ACC headquarters on Oct 1.
Narayanganj regional office’s General Manager Shafiqur Rahman, T & T Department (Gazipur) Manager Abu Bakar Siddiqur Rahman, Manager Md Akhtaruzzaman, engineering services department’s Managaer Shahjada Faraji and Assistant Officer Abu Siddique Tayani have been told to appear before the investigators on Oct 2.
