The Bangladesh Public Services Commission (BPSC) is likely to announce the circular of the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination by the end of September this year with as many as 2,500 posts in different cadres, says a BPSC official.
“We have received the demand letter of the 40th BCS and the advertisement for the 40th BCS examination may be published late September,” BPSC Exam Controller AEM Nesar Uddin told Bangla Tribune on Thursday (Aug 16).
Sources at PSC said the Public Administration ministry has sent the demand letter for nearly 2,500 posts in general and technical cadres with nearly 1,000 for education cadres, 344 for fisheries, 228 for administration, and 70 for foreign cadres.
The BPSC has also taken policy decision to hold the 41st BCS as special BCS on education cadre to fill the teacher’s post in government colleges.
“Recommendation for nearly 2,000 teachers is likely in the 41st BCS, but the figure may rise if it deems necessary,” Secondary and Higher Secondary Division Secretary Sohrab Hossain told Bangla Tribune.
