Terming the deaths of four people over a misleading Facebook post in the southern district of Bhola "uncalled for" National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has expressed deep concern over the incident.

In a media statement on Monday (Oct 21), NHRC Chairman Nasima Begum rights chief said that the Bhola incident was an ill attempt of using religious sensitivity to destroy communal harmony.

"It is gross violation of human rights," read the statement.

The commission is observing the follow-ups with deep concern and called to ensure punishment to the culprits behind this incident, it added.
