The fugitive killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be brought back to the country and their sentences will be executed, says Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said after paying his respects at the graves of Bangabandhu’s family members at Banani graveyard on Thursday (Aug 15) morning.

Diplomatic efforts have been stepped up to bring back the fugitives in an attempt to find their whereabouts while the initiatives were underway to bring back two of them from Canada and the United States of America. 

Earlier, AL leaders, led by Party President Sheikh Hasina, laid wreaths on the graves of Bangabandhu’s family members who were also assassinated on Aug 15.
