Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the arrest of the perpetrators in the killing of a man in broad daylight in Barguna.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, speaking to the media about the incident, said that it was tragic.
“The prime minister has ordered to arrest the killers as soon as possible and make them stand trial,” the news agency quoted him saying.
Quader, also the transport minister, described the broad daylight murder of a man in front his wife as an ‘isolated incident’.

Twenty-five-year-old Rifat Sharif was attacked by a group of men armed with sharp weapons in front of the main entrance of Barguna Government College on Wednesday.

The fatal attack was captured in a surveillance camera which showed assailants striking Rifat indiscriminately while his wife was desperately trying to save him.
The victim’s father filed a case against 12 people on Thursday while the police have arrested a suspect identified as one Chandan from the southern district of town.
