The process to transfer school teachers, who have been posted at the same place for years and involved in coaching centres, are underway, says Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.
Speaking at the Parliament during Saturday’s question-and-answer session he said that the teachers have a tendency to get involved with coaching centers after working for the same institution for a long time.
“The monitoring committees have been able to curb the coaching business and government is taking punitive measures against the teachers involved with those.”
Responding to a question, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman said, “Mothers have been encouraged to send home made foods to the school for the mid-day meal of their children which counts 96 percent students are bringing home made food in the school.
