Road accident has killed as many as 25,526 people across Bangladesh over the past 10 years, says Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader.
The deaths took place “between the period from January 2009 and April 2019,” Quader told the House in reply to a query from BNP lawmaker M Harunur Rashid of Chapainawabganj-3 on Wednesday (Jun 12).
Besides, other 19,763 people sustained injuries in road crashes during this period, the Minister added.
Quader, however, could not specify the total number of cases which have been filed to this end.
