In a major shakeup in the field-level administration, the government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) to 19 districts.
In an official notification on Tuesday (Jun 11), public administration ministry appointed DCs for the districts of Gazipur, Faridpur, Pabna, Gopalganj, Mymensingh, Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Rajshahi, Bagerhat, Jashore, Moulvibazar, Sirajganj, Rajbari, Jhalkathi, Naogaon, Lalmonirhat, Rangpur and Barguna.
The notification said that the order will be effective immediately.
