The government will not tolerate any harassment of passengers, especially expatriate Bangladeshis at the country’s airports, says Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister.
“Wherever I go, I get this complain,” he said on Wednesday at a meeting of the Dhaka airport workers’ union.
Referring to complains over luggage handling at the Shahjalal International Airport, “Airports across the world take 15 to 20 minutes to reach passengers their luggage and here there’s the delay, moreover pilferage, which is embarrassing.”
He urged the Dhaka airport staff to speed up the ground handling process as well as carry out duties sincerely and honestly.
