Preparation is in full swing to greet the first day of Bengali calendar year 1426 on Sunday (Apr 13) upholding the rich cultural values and rituals of the Bangali tradition.
To celebrate the Bangla New Year, the government has chalked out an elaborate programme across the country.
Traditional Mongol Shovajatra will be brought out at divisional, district and upazila levels to reach the traditional programme to the grassroots as it has earned the international recognition.
In Dhaka, Mongol Shovajatra will be brought out from Dhaka University’s Fine Arts Faculty premises at 9 am on Sunday.
On Saturday, students along with the artists were seen passing busy time for last moment preparation for Mongol Shovajatra procession at the Fine Arts building.
