Rain brings relax, but cripples city life

Heavy rain submerged many roads on May 31,2018.Rain brought relief from the searing heat but heavy rains crippled city dwellers’ life in the capital.
Heavy rains and thundershowers on Thursday morning stuck the city as many roads in different parts of the capital went under water, causing immense sufferings to the commuters.
Met office assumes weather would be normal soon.The Met office recorded 81-millimetre rainfall in three hours starting from 6:00 am to 9:00 am on Thursday, said Nijhum Rokeya, meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
“The sky would remain cloudy and it would be normal on Friday,” she added.
Vehicles were seen stranded while people were seen wading through the water to reach their destinations in the hyper-populous city.

Hundreds of commuters especially office-goers faced huge troubles in reaching their destinations this morning due to water-logging and lack of transports caused by the incessant rains.
