Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader will be released from the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Friday, reports UNB.
He will move to a rented house for further treatment.
“The health condition of Obaidul Quader is better now as he’s undergoing treatment at a cabin. He’ll be taken to a rented house on Friday from where he’ll take treatment,” news agency quoted an official of the ministry.
According to the official, the minister “is now talking to physicians and relatives normally.”
On Mar 26, Quader was moved to a cabin from the intensive care unit of Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital after his condition improved.
The minister underwent a bypass surgery on Mar 20.
The general secretary of Awami League was initially admitted to BSMMU on Mar 3 following breathing complications.
Later, tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery. He was flown to Singapore the next day for better treatment.
