Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate anti-narcotic drives in different parts of the capital in last 24 hours till 6am on Saturday, arrested 75 people including drug peddlers and filed 61 cases against them, said a press release.
Different contraband items including some 2,229 pieces of Yaba tablets, 971 gram heroin, 7.520 kilograms of cannabis, 300 bottles of phensidyl, and 15 seductive injections were seized from their possessions, the release added.
It also filed 61 cases under Narcotic Control Act to this end.
