Barrister Biplab Barua and Moshiur Rahman Humayun have been appointed as special assistants to the prime minister.
Barua is the ruling Awami League’s deputy office secretary while Moshiur is an assistant secretary of the ruling party’s central subcommittee.
The public administration ministry said in the official order issued on Monday (Mar 4) that they have been appointed with the rank of a deputy secretary.
Meanwhile, Gazi Hafizur Rahman Liku, an assignment officer to the prime minister, has been made APS-II to the PM while Muhammad Arifuzzaman Nurnabi has succeeded Liku as assignment officer.
Hasan Jahid Tusher, a former journalist, has been appointed deputy press secretary to the prime minister.


Their term will be the same as the prime minister’s or as long as she wishes them to continue, it said.
