Polling agents being forced out of centres in Dhaka-10: BNP’s Mannan

BNP leader Abdul Mannan contesting Dhaka-10 constituency.BNP leader and Jatiya Oikya Front’s leader for Dhaka-10, Abdul Mannan has alleged that ‘paddy sheaf’ agents are being beaten out of all the 115 polling stations in his constituency.
He wrote to the Election Commission regarding the matter on Sunday (Dec 30), saying that he did not get any help from the police or military offices either.
He wrote that ‘paddy sheaf’ polling agents are being driven out of the Dhaka City College, Ideal College, Hatirpool Primary School, Dhaka College, Kakoli High School and many other centres.
In his letter, he claimed that not only were the agents stopped from entering, the police are also arresting them.
“I’m not here to boycott the polls. I’m here for your cooperation,” he told the media.
Responding to the journalists’ queries, the BNP leader said, ‘I want to see till the very end how low they can stoop.”
