Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during a conversation with Times NowIf a country allows terrorism, its people will also suffer, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said during an exclusive interview with India’s Times now.

During the conversation with Times Now's National Affairs Editor Srinjoy Chowdhury, the prime minister has reiterated that her country would not allow any kind of terrorist activities from its soil.

She also touched upon the issue of Teesta river water sharing and expressed hope that the Government of India, as well as West Bengal, would work to resolve the issue. She minced no words in stating that the issue was stuck due to the government in West Bengal where Didi (Mamata Banerjee) probably had some internal compulsions.

The Bangladesh Awami League leader further said her country gave shelter to Rohingya refugees on humanitarian grounds, adding that talks were on with Myanmar's government to take them back. "We have asked them to slowly leave the country but they are not ready to go. I told Myanmar that they are afraid to return. Myanmar should create a healthy atmosphere for the Rohingyas. They cannot live here forever. Rohingyas cannot stay in camps forever. They can be misused by terrorists," she said.
