Ruling Awami League (AL) President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will go to Sylhet on Saturday (Dec 22) in the second leg of her election tour.
The prime minister will offer dua at the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA), Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) and Hazrat Gazi Borhanuddin (RA) upon her arrival in the city, says a media release, signed by AL Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, on Friday (Dec 21).
The AL chief will address an election rally of her party at Sylhet Government Alia Madrasa Ground at 2:30 pm, it added.
On Dec 12, Hasina launched her election campaign from Gopalganj by placing wreaths at the shrine of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara.
In the third leg of her election tour, the prime minister will visit Rangpur on Dec 23.
She is expected to address two separate polls rallies at Taraganj and Pirganj in Rangpur.
