SM Shahjada, who is running on the Awami League’s ticket in the national polls, has met his uncle Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda at the Commission’s offices.
Shahjada, the ruling party candidate from Patuakhali -3, is the son of Huda’s sister.
He, however, said that the visit was due to ‘personal reasons relating to his maternal grandmother’.
“I’ve come here with a doctor’s prescription. It’s a very personal meeting, nothing else. Nothing was discussed in relation to the election,” he told the media outside the CEC’s offices on Monday (Dec 3).
