The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday cleared a Tk 38.25 billion project to procure 150,000 electronic voting machines (EVMs).
The approval came from the weekly Ecnec meeting held at the NEC conference room in the capital with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
“On Tuesday, ECNEC approved a total of 14 projects with the total estimated cost of Tk 125.45 billion,” said Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in a media briefing after the meeting.
