The Election Commission (EC) has set Sep 20 for voting in the by-election to the Khulna-4 parliamentary constituency.
According to the schedule published on Tuesday, the last day for filing nominations is Aug 26 while officials will scrutinise those on Aug 28.
The deadline for withdrawing candidacy is Sep 4. The same day the polls symbols will be allotted and the official campaigning will kick-off.
The seat fell vacant after Awami League MP SM Mostafa Rashidi Suja died on Jul 26 while being treated at a Singapore hospital.
The 68-year-old was a three-time lawmaker from Khulna-4 representing Rupsha, Terokhada and Dighalia.
