Combination of still images taken from YouTube trailer shows Jaya Ahsan in the movie ‘Crisscross’.The tale of five women – all victims of discrimination in some form or the other is the plotline of the new Indian film called, ‘Crisscross’, hitting the big screens on 10 August on the other side of the border.
Of the five, there’s Joya Ahsan, the Bangladeshi actress who has created ripples on both sides of the border. In the film, she is Ms. Sen, a woman who has achieved apotheosis in professional life but is terribly lonely in her personal one.

The other characters are: Ira, played by Mimi Chatterjee, who is a photojournalist, living with her lover, Meher (Nusrat Jahan) a struggling Muslim actress, Rupa (Sohini Sarker) a housewife and Suji (Priyanka Sarker), a Bengali Christian and a single mother.
The film looks at five different lives which are unique yet form a bond somewhere.
