At least three people have been killed in a gunfight in the hill tracts district of Rangamati what police said a clash between two factions of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samiti (PJSS).
The shooting was reported from remote Balumura Marmapara area of the district's Rajasthali Upazila on Monday (Nov 18).
Details of the deceased were immediately unavailable.
Rangamati Superintendent of Police Alamgir Kabir said they have heard about a gunfight between PJSS (Santu Larma) that left three dead.
"It has been learned that the victims were the member of the PJSS," said Kabir before adding law enforcers were on their way to the spot.
Leaders of PJSS could not be reached for comment.
