Sohagi Jahan TonuNo visible progress has been made at the sensational case of Tanu murder committed 28 months back inside Cumilla Cantonment.
Her bereaved father said, “Now I don’t feel like asking for justice to anybody of my daughter’s killing. I feel guilty if I ask for justice to anybody.”
Speaking to Bangla Tribune on Thursday (Jul 19), he said, “The investigation officer don’t contact with us anymore. Only journalists call me.”
Sohagi Jahan Tonu, a student of Comilla Victoria College, was killed after rape inside the cantonment on Mar 20, 2016.
Tonu’s mother said, “We count months but nobody gives us any hope.”
We went to everybody to get justice, but still nothing happen yet, she said.
Investigation Officer and Senior Assistant Police Super Jalal Uddin Ahmed said, “We are supposed to get DNA reports by first week of this month, but we did not get it.”
Hopefully we get the reports soon and it will help the investigation, he added.
