Female police constable accused of beating underage domestic helpA female constable in Maijdee has been accused of beating a child domestic worker.
When a video of the constable beating the child went viral in social media, the locals contacted the police.
Locals say that the constable in question, Rina Akhter, works at the Noakhali Police Training Centre.
Rina has been living with her mother and daughter in law in a rented flat of a building belonging to a retired banker in Khadakarpara for more than one year.
Hailing from Sreemangal, Rina brought Koli, a 13-year-old girl, to work at her home. When the locals asked Koli about scars and bruises on her body the girl informed of physical torture.

Police came to know that the girl left employment with Rina Akhter on Friday, 6 July.

Commandant of the police training centre, Md Rezaul Karim, says: “in this regard, a three-member probe committee has been formed with the police superintendent as the head.”
