An investigative body will be formed to find the masterminds behind Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s assassination, says Awami League presidium member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim.

He remade the remarks after AL President Sheikh Hasina paid her tribute to Father of the Nation at Tungipara in Gopalganj on the National Mourning Day observed on Thursday (Aug 15).

“We plan to form a probe committee to find the actual masterminds behind Bangabandhu’s killing along with those already convicted of the assassination,” he said.

He said that there are others who had been part of the actual planning behind the murder of one of the greatest leaders in the world.

It might take time but they would be found out and if the need arises, they too would be tried for their crimes, he added.
