Reserved seat MP Rushema Imam passes away

She breathed her last around 11:35pm at Faridpur Heart Foundation Hospital late on Tuesday (Jul 9).
According to her family, she was admitted to the hospital following a cardiac arrest on Tuesday.
A former teacher of Faridpur Ishan Memorial High School, Rushema was the wife of late Imamuddin Ahmad, former Faridpur district Awami League president and a close aide to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
She took oath on Feb 20 after being nominated by the Awami League as a reserved seat parliamentarian from Faridpur.
