A head-on collision between a truck and a motorbike has left a man dead on the spot, says police.

The deceased, identified as Motiur Rahman, 48, was a teacher at a local madrasa.

The incident was reported on Thursday (Mar 14) evening at the Dhaka-Sagardi road in Tangail’s Sakhipur, said, Sakhipur police OC Amir Hossain.

Witnesses and police sources say, a truck from Sakhipur collided head-on at the Dewan Bari Mor area with a motorbike, which was coming from the opposite direction, leaving the motorbike rider dead on the spot.

The body of the deceased has been handed over to the family, Hossain said.
