Five people were killed and six others injured in an accident when a truck hit a leguna at Shahjahanpur upazila in Bogura Wednesday morning.
The five victims are Ariful Islam Sumon, 28, a NGO official, Mokhlesur Rahman, 52, Ramzan Ali, 60, Anwar Hossain, 50, Faruq Hossain, 30. All the persons hailed from different places in Bogura.
Sub Inspector of Shahjahanpur police station MasudMasud said a Bogura-bound empty truck lost control near Shahjahanpur upazila and hit the leguna which was going to Nandigram Upazila from Bogura sadar.
The injured were rushed to the Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College hospital where doctors declared four dead. Treatments are given to the injured, said Masud.
