Barrister Mainul Hosein, who has been in prison in a defamation case, is in good health, according to Rangpur Medical physicians.
The former caretaker government adviser was taken to the hospital from prison amidst police security for a five-hour check-up on Saturday (Nov 10).
A five-member medical board led by Medicine Department chair Dr Debendra Nath has been formed for Mainul, Rangpur Medical Director Dr Ajay Kumar confirmed.
Dr Debendra said that he has some chronic diseases which are now stable. He is completely healthy.
Mainul’s wife filed a petition with the High Court on behalf of him, requesting treatment for his declining health which the court granted.
