Rohingya among 3 held with 100,000 yaba

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested three people including a Rohyinga man with 100,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets in Cox’s Bazar.

On a tip-off, RAB set up a checkpoint at the city’s BSCIC area and caught the trio, identified as Md Johor, 35, Md Belal, 22, and Md Sodrul Amin, 21 on Saturday morning, RAB 7 Cox’s Bazar company commander Major Mehedi Hassan said.

Members of the elite force confiscated 100,000 pieces of yaba pills and a Microbus, used for transporting the drug.

One of the arrestees has been identified as a Rohingya, added the Major.
