The identities of three bullet ridden bodies found in Purbachal in Narayanganj have been confirmed.
The dead are, Shohag Bhuiya, 32, Shimul Azad, 30 and Nur Hossain Babu, 30.
Relatives claim that the three were headed to Shimul Azad’s village home and, on their way, were taken off the bus by people identifying them as DB police.
After that, the men were missing. On Friday, locals in Purbachal saw three bodies by the road and called the police.
Later, police came followed by relatives who identified the bodies.
Wife of Shimul said, “They were not involved in politics and earned a living through trading in garment discards or commonly known as ‘Jhut’.
Rupganj police acting OC Moniruzzaman Monir said: “There are bullet marks on the head and bodies plus 65 pieces of yaba were found in the pocket of one body.”
