Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has requested the government to reconsider the proposed corporate tax and source tax on RAM exports in the budget for 2018-19 fiscal.
In a post budget press briefing, BGMEA President Siddiqur Rahman said that corporate tax rate has been increased to 15 percent from 12 percent while it has been proposed 12 percent for green industry from the 10 percent.
“We requested the government to reconsider it and fix it at 10 percent lowering from 12 percent for all,” Rahman said.
