Afghanistan keen to import pharmaceuticals, RMG from Bangladesh

Afghanistan Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdul Qayoom Malikzad (L) and Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the foreign ministry on Wednesday (Oct 31).Afghanistan is keen to import pharmaceuticals and readymade garment (RMG) from Bangladesh as well as seeking Bangladesh’s investment there to boost up economies of both the countries.
This was revealed when newly appointed Afghanistan Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdul Qayoom Malikzad called on Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the foreign ministry on Wednesday (Oct 31), according to a press release.
The foreign minister expressed his satisfaction over the existing friendly bilateral relations between the two countries and hoped that it will further be strengthened in the days to come, reports BSS.
Ali expressed his hope about the development of Afghanistan and assured the envoy that Bangladesh’s support in this regard will continue.
The new Afghan envoy lauded the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and recent socioeconomic progress of Bangladesh.
He also expressed his best wishes to the Bangladesh Prime Minister and her party for the upcoming election.
