Biman Bangladesh Airlines fifth brand new Dreamliner Boeing 787-9 named as ‘Sonar Tori’ arrived Dhaka on Saturday (Dec 21).
The aircraft landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 6.10 pm while Biman’s same model named, “Achin Pakhi” is scheduled to reach the airport from Seattle, the USA, on Dec 24, Biman’s spokesperson told BSS.
With these two aircraft, the national flag carrier’s fleet number will rise to 18.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who named these Dreamliners as “Sonar Tori” and “Achin Pakhi”, is expected to inaugurate the new aircraft along with Biman’s mobile Apps on Dec 28.
Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner has a total of 298 seats including 30 business classes, 21 premium economy classes and 247 economy classes.
