Ride-hailing service Pathao gets enlisted with BRTA

Local ride-sharing company, Pathao, received license (enlistment certificate) from Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) as the first company, reports BSS.
“As the largest on-demand digital platform in Bangladesh, we are grateful to accept the enlistment certificate from BRTA,” said Hussain M Elius, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Pathao, according to a press release of Pathao sent on Tuesday (Dec 3).
“The enlistment certificate is yet another step in our mission of transforming lives and our pursuit of a Digital Bangladesh,” he added.
Pathao has been working collaboratively with government agencies to ensure the safety and security for users and riders.
Pathao, which has started ride-sharing services since 2016, currently has over 200,000 registered riders with six million registered users.
