Kona software lab ltd, which is the Dhaka office of Korean smart card manufacturer KONA I, is working relentlessly to spread smart cards in Bangladesh.

Smart card is a secured product as it uses cryptography and other related security features. Financial Institutions require certifications from payment brands like MasterCard, VISA etc. to launch any smart card brand in the market. It requires serious level of domain knowledge and expertise to develop the test cases and prepare the test instances. It also requires very high level of sophistication to solve the problems in different levels.

The expert Engineers of Kona are working very hard to solve all these problems in the smart card testing and supporting most of the local Banks to get the required certificates on time.

At present there are around 13.5 million Debit cards and 1.1 million Credit cards in Bangladesh. The number of cards are growing gradually and Kona aims to continue this support to all of the Banks.
