National cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim is still tormented by memories of the T20 World Cup of 2016 when Bangladesh lost to India in the super ten. Bangladesh lost that match by a whisker – only one run but this time, the youth under 19 team have beaten India to lift the youth World Cup title.

Mushfiq is elated by the victory and has posted a photo on Facebook saluting the youth team.

The youth team will be returning today and BCB will welcome them with a banner, with the word ‘champion’ written on it. Mushfiq gave the salute in front of the banner and his post read: brothers, we are proud of you!
