Roman Sana’s performance in world archery in 2019 was sensational. Roman won bronze in World Archery Championship and found a place at Tokyo Olympics. Roman has recently earned another accolade by being selected as the best archer in the breakthrough category.
Bangladesh’s German coach Martin Friedrich has also been selected the best in this category. The online voting began some time ago.
An elated Roman, says: “I had to work hard last year and the result of that labour are the awards and the recognition; the winning in the breakthrough category will inspire me in the future.”
In 2019, Roman won silver in Bangkok Asian Archery and bronze in World Archery Championship in June. As a result, he has qualified to compete at the Tokyo Olympics. In September, Roman won gold in Asia Cup and bagged all gold medals in SA Games.
