Strong Bangladesh steamrolled depleted Maldives

Nigar Sultana and FarganaBangladesh under 23 women's team have thrashed the Maldives and won by 249 runs during their South Asian Games Women's Cricket Competition at Pokhara, Nepal on Thursday (Dec 5).

Chasing to 256 to win, Maldives were all out for just 6 runs in 12. 1 over. Only four runs came from the bat from Maldives innings (1,1 and 2) and remaining two runs came from extras. Ritu Moni and Salma Khatun picked three wickets each.

Earlier, Bangladesh post 255 runs in the scoreboard losing just two wickets in their 20 overs.

Nigar Sultana made the record as she became the first Bangladeshi women player to score a century in T20 cricket. Nigar was unbeaten on 113 off 65 deliveries with 14 fours and three sixes.

Later Fargana Hoque also smashed century as she was not out on 110 off just 53 deliveries with 20 boundaries.
