Fans who bought the ticket for Day 4 and 5 of Kolkata test will be refunded, according to Indian media.
"The process of refunding the amounts for Day 4 and Day 5 Tickets has started. Messages would be sent to all online transactors who have booked only for these two days," the Cricket Association of Bengal said in a statement on Monday (Nov 25), reports news agency ANI.
According to ANI, this is one of the rare occasions when a cricket association is refunding money for the tickets bought by fans as the match got over early.
The practice is usually followed by the state boards across the world when matches get called off or abandoned due to rain or any other circumstance.
According to the news agency, the first ever Day/Night Test in India witnessed packed stands on all three days of and the fourth day tickets were sold out.
Bangladesh suffered the defeat in the third day. Hence, the refund will be made only for the last two days, reports ANI.
The rule that no refund if a ball has been bowled in the match would be applicable for this match for the specific days where no game took place. This is more so because the tickets in order to bring in more crowds.
