Mushfiqur RahimMushfiqur Rahim decided to put his wicket-keeping gloves in shelf for the longer format of cricket after consulting with head coach Russell Domingo, reports Cricbuzz.
The 32-year-old regular contributor of Tigers has been criticized over bad performance behind the wickets for a long time.
Apart from his regular presence as both wicket keeper and batsman in three formats for the national team, he attends Dhaka Premier League, Bangladesh Premier League.
Previously team management tried to persuade him to hand over the keeping gloves to a younger one and focus on batting.
“I am not interested in keeping wickets in white. As a larger number of matches is coming ahead, it would be extra pressure on me,” Rahim said.
“I want to serve Tigers for long period. As playing in all formats, I need time to think,” he added.
