The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will consider the demands of the national cricketers, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said hours after the players called a strike on Monday (Oct 21).
Earlier in the day, national cricketers, including the likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim put forward an 11-point demand saying they will abstain from all kinds of games until their demands are met.
The BCB chief said they have learned about the strike through the media.
“The cricketers are yet to formally place their demand [to the BCB],” Chowdhury told a media call at his office in Dhaka.
“We will definitely look at their demands,” he added.
