Shakib’s Barbados into CPL final

CPL T20Bangladesh Test and T20I captain Shakib al Hasan did not enjoy the best of days at the office but his CPL T20 side Barbados Tridents still made it to the final after beating Trinbago Knight Riders by 12 runs in Qualifier 2 in Tarouba Thursday night.
2014 champion Barbados will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in the grand finale Sunday (Oct 13) night at the same venue.
Asked to bat first, the Tridents posted 160 losing six wickets in their stipulated 20 overs, Shakib scoring 18 off 12 balls with one four and a six.
Barbados hammered 42 runs in the last two overs to boost their total.
In reply, Shakib, coming on to bowl the opening over of the Knight Riders innings, conceded four boundaries, before leaking 11 in his second over to end up with figure of 0/27 in two overs.
Trinbago were eventually all out for 148 in 19.3 overs, thus losing thrice in as many attempts against Barbados this season.
