Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a squad for the one-off Test series against Afghanistan, excluding Mustafizur Rahman, who was given a rest for now.
Captain Sakib al Hasan returned for the Test side while fast bowler Taskin Ahmed and all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain made a comeback to the 15-man team.
Taskin, 24, made the last of five Test appearances in September 2017 against South Africa while Mosaddek last appeared in January 2018 against Sri Lanka.
Apart from Mustafiz, opener Tamim Iqbal, who had previously asked for a rest in the Afghan series, and pacer Khalid Ahmed, who has undergone an operation for his knee injury, were also excluded from the squad.
The one-off Test will be played from September 5 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
