Bangladesh batsman Mohammad Mahmudullah is facing an injury concern ahead of their next group stage match of the 2019 World Cup against India slated for Tuesday (Jun 2) in Birmingham.
Mahmudullah scored 27 off 38 deliveries against Afghanistan on Monday at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, which his team eventually won by 62 runs.
Mahmudullah was in discomfort while batting and at one point, was seen struggling to run quickly between wickets.
He did not field in the second innings and according to a team source, the right-handed batsman is suffering from a grade one tear in his right muscle.
Generally, it takes seven to 10 days for the injury to fully recover.
The team management will assess his condition Tuesday before giving an update.
