Shakib Al Hasan continued his sublime touch as he became the first Bangladeshi batsman to score 1000 World Cup runs and just the 19th batsman overall to reach the landmark.
The left-handed batsman achieved the feat when he reached 35 against Afghanistan in the ICC World Cup match in Southampton on Monday.
Shakib then went on to register his fifth fifty-plus score in the tournament before being dismissed by Mujeeb Ur Rahman on 51.
