Bangladesh`s Tamim Iqbal played a shot against New Zealand at The Oval, London, Britain on Jun 5, 2019. ReutersAgainst West Indies, Bangladesh chased a massive West Indian total of 321 to win the match. But against Australia’s mammoth 381, the tigers fell short.

But, the loss has a silver lining because it has given Bangladesh the confidence of reaching 300 plus runs in two successive matches.

After Mushfiqur’s century and Mahmudullah plus Tamim’s half centuries, Bangladesh lost to Australia by 48 runs. The tigers didn’t win but won hearts for showing the ‘never say die’ spirit.

After the match, Tamim, said: “we lost but made three hundred plus runs in two back to back matches.”

In the last three to four overs, we bowled well but due to some mistakes, the match went out of our hands; but we still have chance to move to the semi-final if we win the remaining three matches.”

No one in the team is disappointed; we will try our best, added the left handed opener for the tigers.
