Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry took three wickets each as New Zealand dismissed Sri Lanka for a paltry 136 in their World Cup opener at Cardiff on Saturday (Jun 1).
Ferguson finished with 3-22 while Henry took 3-29 as Sri Lanka, sent in to bat, were bowled out in 29.2 overs, with Dimuth Karunaratne scoring 52 not outs.
Kusal Perera with 29 and Thisara Perera (27) were the only other batsmen who reached double figures.
Colin de Grandhomme, James Neesham, and Mitchell Santner bagged one wicket apiece.
